During the last decades, interest in Saint Isaac the Syrian has increased both among academic, theological and monastic thinkers - in part due to discoveries of a large collection of previously unknown writings by St. Isaac. This has resulted in several new translations and studies on this saint from the Middle East - in particular by professor Sebastian Brock (Oxford University) and the Russian Orthodox bishop Hilarion Alfevey.Several of the books on the Translations page contain valuable academic and theological studies on Saint Isaac.
